Testimonials for "Acting for Non-Actors"
"Acting 4 Non-Actors was a wonderful first-time acting
class! Our classmates became our little family so taking risks felt safe and
the encouragement from Nelly was always there. I highly recommend this class to
anyone who wants to learn more about themselves, gain confidence, and to do
something fun, creative and very interactive. The only downside was that the 2
hour long classes flew by way too fast!! Amazing experience!
Tons of fun!"

“I really enjoyed the class, it was a great way to flex different muscles than I typically do- a very different experience from my other activities. The teacher was very enthusiastic, organized, and available for feedback and offline support. This made it clear that she wasn’t doing it for money- but rather to help people and teach them. It made the experience genuine. I discovered some fun exercises to do with friends, as well- another benefit of the class. Overall- a great experience.”

Testimonials for "The Meisner Technique (Acting)"
"I loved this class and the people I met, and look forward to taking another class with Nelly. I have to admit that some weeks were challenging and I found myself being too harsh or judgmental of my own performance, but overall, this class taught me to be much more open and freer with my emotions without automatically judging myself. I feel like I grew so much during the course of the class, and carry myself more comfortably than I did before. I also watched my classmates grow and become quite talented performers, which was a joy to see. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking to wake up their emotionally expressive side."
- Josie N.
"Excellent class for anyone who needs a creativity booster in their personal and/or professional lives. I looked forward to every class as we had a great group of people and class itself was a ton of fun. Nelly's an amazing teacher who provides excellent coaching and pushes you when necessary."
-Voytek W.
“I feel I learned to listen to a partner more intently. Watching expressions of the other person during repetition exercises helped to clue into their feelings and to better feed off that in my own responses. Also, learning to stop analyzing and be more spontaneous during repetition exercises certainly helps in the acting technique. I learned that the repetition exercises really helped me to learn to open up and be more free and spontaneous in the exercises. Also, the independent activities were good in that they taught us to think more about emotional preparation to make the activity seem more believable. Of course, learning to prepare oneself emotionally certainly helps in repetition exercises as well as scenes. It was a wonderful experience for me and I look forward to continuing with more advanced study.”
-Betsy K.

...I did think that
there are so many things that I
have never done; that I don’t
want to look back and wish I had
tried something. This dance
class was exactly what I was
looking for. I had never
taken ANY dance class before and
imagined the worst…that the
class would be filled with
“real” dancers and I would look
like a fool. I was in a
class with delightful people
who were exactly as
dance-challenged as I was…I
looked a little like a fool
(most of the time) but we
laughed about it together.
In fact, the entire reason for
the tone of the class was the
encouraging and lyric voice of
ShaLeigh, the dance instructor.
Of course she makes everything
she was teaching us look easy,
but she also made everything
she teaches do-able. I have
to say, one of my many fears
associated with taking a dance
class was the instructor
pointing out my mistakes or
being impatient. ShaLeigh
was careful with correction and generous
with praise.
Any compliment I could
write would be a understatement
of how very much I enjoyed this
class. Thank you.

These were my favorite 2 hours of the

relaxed than when I arrived!

"Very non-technical, Adam introduced us to singing from the first minute of class with "IF YOU CAN SPEAK, YOU CAN SING" attitude. I also liked the vocal exercises- I feel like they help me use my voice in a more efficient way."
